Our Mission
At the Lānaʻi Youth Center in Hawaii, we’re all about kids and teens (ages 8 to 18 while in high school). Our fun after-school programs and youth activities promote positive attitudes, healthy lifestyles and leadership skills in a safe, welcoming space.
We offer mentorship, educational programs, and plenty of ways for youth to connect and have fun. Whether it’s through teen leadership or recreation programs, we’re here to support our community’s young people every step of the way.
Our Story
Since 1998, the Lānaʻi Youth Center has been a trusted resource for families, providing a safe, structured, and nurturing space for youth, ages 8 to 18 as long as they are in high school. Located in the heart of Lānaʻi City, we’ve grown from a small after-school program into the island’s only year-round youth center, thanks to the support of so many who believe in what we do.
Many young people on Lānaʻi face adult-sized responsibilities — often caring for siblings or lacking access to homework help, healthy meals or enrichment opportunities. That’s where we step in. Keiki can grow socially, academically and emotionally under the guidance of trusted staff and mentors.
With the closure of programs like A+ and PALS, the need for consistent youth support has never been greater. We meet this need — providing local youth with connection, culture and care all year long.

Youth learn & lead
Over the years, the center has become a second home where young people learn kuleana (responsibility), lōkahi (unity) and aloha. It’s where friendships form, identities are nurtured, and traditions are passed down. Today, the center continues to adapt to meet the evolving needs of island youth.
Be Part of Our Story
Whether you’re a parent, supporter, or simply someone who cares about youth empowerment, there are many ways to get involved. Follow us on social media, attend an event, or stop by to say aloha.
The Lānaʻi Youth Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving the next generation. Together, we can build a stronger future for Lānaʻi’s children.
