Life Skills, Health & Wellness

During our sessions, youth develop essential life skills through hands-on activities such as cooking, baking, and learning kitchen safety. They explore important topics including food groups, measuring ingredients, healthy portion sizes, proper utensil use, nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and maintaining a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Youth also engage in outdoor play and fitness activities, promoting physical health and well-being.

In partnership with the Lāna’i Community Health Center, we address key behavioral health topics such as social-emotional learning, mental health awareness, self-care, stress management, building healthy relationships, and setting personal boundaries.

Through our collaboration with 4-H, youth also gain valuable agricultural experience by learning about gardening, harvesting, and preparing meals using the fresh produce they grow themselves.
